MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS FACTS

Multiple Sclerosis or MS is disease affecting brain and spinal cord. Our own immune system identifies certain substances in the brain and spinal cord as alien and destroys them. This in turn result in gradual dysfunction of  nervous system.

• MS is one of the most common disorder of Central nervous System affecting young adults.
• MS is noninfectious nor contagious.
• Ms is more common in countries more further from the equator.
• Though MS has no cure, it is a treatable condition.
• The symptoms of MS varies from person to person.
• With proper treatment persons with MS can have a normal life.
